>Description:
Hello,
I wasn't able to get the mouse working under X - mouse cursor was
there, no movement - and I have come to see that the PS/2 mouse port
is not being detected at all. I am using a cheap HP PS/2 ball mouse
with a scroll wheel. I switched the mouse to an USB mouse (Logitech
Click! Optical Mouse) with a PS/2 adapter - it won't work if it is
plugged into the PS/2 port, but it will if it is plugged into the USB
port. If I dmesg, there is no mention of wsmouse (or mouse of any
other flavor). The PS/2 port does work on other OS's (dual-boots Slackware and
Windows). I have been using the GENERIC kernel, but I also tried the GENERIC.MP
kernel, with the same results.
Hardware:
HP Pavillion a1750e
AMD Athalon 64 X2 4600+ 2.4GHz CPU
ASUS A8M2N-LA (Nodus 3) Motherboard
1GB RAM
