 And as I said. It happens both with a linux java vm and with a native
 NetBSD java vm.
 
 That is AFTER the package is succesfully installed, while doing it with
 a UP kernel. So it can't be a problem with a broken /proc emulation.

 I didn't know that part.
 This would mean to just fix the INSTALL scripts and we are done.
