 It appears this may be a more generic problem with dk.  On a system with 
 3 drives on ahcisata, each with one MBR partition and two disklabel 
 partitions, the system panics soon after enumerating all the dk* devices.
 
 I think it's just plain broken for non-trivial configurations stuff. 
 Bummer.
