 it's dealing with a C step chip. I suspect earlier machines have earlier chip

 For example, my 715/50 has a chip with
 
 	KU82596DX-33
 	SZ522
 	L2528254
 	Intel (m)(c)'89
 
 which doesn't work with iee(4) as I believe it's a B step chip.
