System: NetBSD w.corp.revision3.com 4.0_BETA2 NetBSD 4.0_BETA2 (W) #5: Tue May 15 14:27:39 PDT 2007 riz@w.corp.revision3.com:/usr/src/sys/arch/amd64/compile/W amd64
Architecture: x86_64
Machine: amd64
>Description:
wm0 and/or wm1 work "well enough" when only one is used. When
the second interface is brought up and any significant traffic
put over it, lots of this is seen on console:

May 15 14:52:01 w /netbsd: wm0: MDIC read timed out: phy 1 reg 17
May 15 14:52:01 w /netbsd: wm0: MDIC write timed out: phy 1 reg 22
May 15 14:52:01 w /netbsd: wm0: MDIC read timed out: phy 1 reg 0

May 15 14:52:01 w /netbsd: wm0: MDIC write timed out: phy 1 reg 16

... and things don't work quite right.

This is with 4.0_BETA2 that has all wm-related fixes that have appeared
of late...

Here's the dmesg from this box:
