 The monitor doesn't matter but the serial console does.
 This bug has been fixed in -current a while ago ( fallout from the 
 console rework I did a few months ago ). I requested to pull the fix 
 into the 4.0 branch. If you don't feel like waiting for the request to 
 be processes please use src/sys/arch/macppc/dev/ofb.c, ofb_cons.c and 
 ofbvar.h from the HEAD branch and see if you can still reproduce the 
 problem.
