>Description:

Type "ifconfig ath0 down" to down your atheros wifi adapter.
Notice that the command doesn't actually do anything.

This of course has multiple implications:
packets get misrouted to interfaces you can't use in some places
you eat power on your laptop for an interface you don't want up
  etc., etc.

>How-To-Repeat:

Try it out on a machine with an atheros.
