 FTR, the relevant patch (addition of an amd.conf variable 
 'normalize_slashes=[yes|no]') is in netbsd-3, but has not been pulled 
 up to netbsd-2. I don't run that anymore on any machines that access 
 a program filesystem with amd, so I don't care much, but I thought 
 I'd mention the fact.
