I see. Could you please try these two things:
1.) Run "less /dev/zero" with the default limits (e.g. without increasing
the datasize)?
2.) Could you please run "ktrace -i less /dev/zero" for a few seconds,
kill it and provide the (eventually shortened) output of
"ktruss -f ktrace.out"?
