 The problem still seems to persist in 3.99.3 as of 20050513.
 I had a hanging system that required a reset. I got about 900
 RCS files being truncated to size 0. cvs was busy at the
 time when the system locked up.
 Last time I got the advice to turn of the write cache on ATA
 disks for softdep file system. The write cache was disabled.
 (I made an rc.d script to be sure).
 So now that theory needs to be buried and we seem to be
 back to cvs or softdep.
