 - it doesn't happen with 2.0.2
 - it doesn't happen with 3.0_BETA
 - it happens with the recent 200505090000Z snapshot of 3.99.3,
   these errors are printed out (netbsd-INSTALL_LAPTOP):
 
   piixide0:0:0: lost interrupt
           type: ata tc_bcount: 2040 tc_skip: 0
   piixide0:0:0: bus-master DMA error: missing interrupt, status=0x1
 
   and the drive activity LED is on, disk is hung.
