 Hmm. Looks like false alarm from me - apologize for that.
 All working fine (in this case win98 boot floppy image):
 
 # vnconfig -l
 vnd0: dev 11,2 inode 7787666
 vnd1: /usr (/dev/wd0e) inode 38
 
 # mount | grep vnd
 /dev/vnd0d on /mnt/test type msdos (local)
 /dev/vnd1d on /mnt/test2 type msdos (local)
