        scotte@intrepid:/misc/netbsd_src/src/sys/arch/amd64/compile/obj.amd64/GENERIC

Hardware is ASUS K8VSE Deluxe, 3ware RAID controller, serial console, 3c905
ethernet.

Architecture: amd64
Machine: amd64
>Description:

Booting an AMD64 kernel, either as part of the install floppies,
or off hd0a: causes the system to hang when before finding the boot
device/root device/etc. The HDD activity light for twe0 comes on
solid, but it's not clear if this is a hang, or actual disk activity.

This happens with AMD64 GENERIC, INSTALL, and a custom kernel tailored
after the working i386 kernel. Boot messages are attached for custom
	AMD64, GENERIC AMD64, and custom i386.

Note that even though -a is passed to the boot loader, the system
hangs before prompting for the boot device.

	> boot hd0a:netbsd.amd64 -av
	booting hd0a:netbsd.amd64 (howto 0x20001)
