There is a large pause at boot time when sendmail starts
if the hostname is not set.

>How-To-Repeat:

Configure a base system by setting rc_configured=YES without
configuring a hostname.

On boot, you will encounter something like:

  sendmail: /etc/mail/aliases.db not present, generating
Aug 4 15:06:07 sendmail[433]: My unqualified host name (localhost) unknown; sleeping for retry
Aug 4 15:07:07 sendmail[433]: unable to qualify my own domain name (localhost) -- using short name
WARNING: local host name (localhost) is not qualified; fix $j in config file
  /etc/mail/aliases: 22 aliases, longest 10 bytes, 246 bytes total
  Starting sendmail.
Aug 4 15:07:07 sm-mta[2261]: My unqualified host name (localhost) unknown; sleeping for retry
Aug 4 15:08:07 sm-mta[2261]: unable to qualify my own domain name (localhost) -- using short name
