>Description:
I downloaded the contents of ftp://releng.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD-daily/netbsd-2-0/200404240000/sparc/installation/
and followed the directions in the FAQ to make a bootable CD. The target machine is an SS20, with two processors, and 96mb of ram. The machine has two drives attached to the SCA backplane - a 1gb drive and a 2gb drive.
The installer is able to find both drives, and after I setup my partitions, it newfs's them properly. After selecting the installation source (cdrom) I continue with the install using the progress bar method. During the base.tgz package installation, the machine panics. Until I can get an adapter, I can't snag the information off the machine via serial cable. However, before the SS20 resets itself, I see it trying to bring back esp1 back, and it is unable to do so. I will submit a detailed crash log tommorow after I get an adapter for my serial cable.
