>Release: NetBSD 1.6ZD 2003-10-20
>Organization:

>Environment:
Architecture: i386
Machine: i386
>Description:
The first stage boostrap on some i386 systems (in particular, a VIA
EPIA, but it's been reported for other unspecified systems too) says
"can't find /boot", even though /boot is present on the drive and
    installboot has been run.
>How-To-Repeat:
    mount /dev/sd0a /mnt
    cd /usr/mdec
    cp biosboot /mnt/boot
    installboot /dev/rsd0a bootxx_ffsv1
    umount /mnt
    # reboot from that device
