Hi all,

First of all, I confirm : the bug is inside ne? driver
because I have switched to a PCMCIA card known at ep0
and I can't reproduce this trouble.

But I found another trouble w/ the autodetection of
ep0 :
- w/ the installation kernel (from a floppy disk), my
3Com card use IRQ 1 and everything works OK.
- w/ the GENERIC kernel ... this card is found at IRQ3
... and networking doesn't work !
In fact, it's an error because, according to the BIOS
setting, IR3 is used by an IR-Receiver included in
this laptop.
If I disable this IR device in the BIOS, ep0 is found
on IRQ 11 and everything works.

So,
1/ why it don't use IRQ1 as w/ the installation kernel
2/ how should I use the IR device ? Because it can
only use IRQ3 and 4, and IRQ 4 is already used b/ COM1
(I need it also).

Bye

Laurent
