>Organization:
access Computer Systems
>Environment:
System: NetBSD access 1.6.1 NetBSD 1.6.1 (ACCESS) #0: Mon Jun 16 12:11:54 UTC 2003 root@:/usr/local/distrib/NetBSD-1.6.1/source/sets/unpack/usr/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/ACCESS i386
Architecture: i386
Machine: i386
>Description:
When you upgrade a system using sysinst, root's crontab will be
overwritten with the default one from the new version.
>How-To-Repeat:
Upgrade a system using sysinst and observe that root's crontab no
longer has local entries.
>Fix:
Have sysinst make a copy of root's crontab prior to unpacking
tarballs similar to what it does for /etc. Even better would be
to merge the differences.
