>Description:
I have an initial working port of NetBSD to the IBM Network Station 1000 box (a PPC603ev based thin client). It would be nice to get this incorporated into the main source tree.

I will happily volunteer to act as a maintainer for this port should one be necessary.

Since I cannot attach the code here, I have added it to my newly created NetBSD TWiki at:

http://www.bluedonkey.org/cgi-bin/twiki/bin/view/Netbsd/IBMNetworkStation1000

There is a gzip'd tar file at the bottom of this page that contains the new files and a patch for the changes to existing ones (mainly build infrastructure changes necessary to include the new port & the special host tool it needs to update CRC and length information inside the bootable image).

That tool came from the Linux world and is a GPL tool. I assumed that since many of the tools on NetBSD (e.g. the compiler) are GPL that this would be OK. Please advise if this is not the case as a replacement tool will need to be written.
