existing plib-1.2.0 library is too old to be used for new games and applications that require plib-1.6.0, e.g. FlightGear flight simulator.

I've partially ported plib-1.6.0 as to build the FlightGear simulator, however, it requires porting of the joystick interface.

Try building new games that require plib-1.6.0 or later. plib-1.2.o is no longer sufficient.
