System: NetBSD arresum.veego.de 1.6E NetBSD 1.6E (ARRESUM) #677: Thu Aug 1 08:35:35 CEST 2002
Architecture: i386

>Description:
There are now utmp entries left after you log in on a terminal
and then log out.
While loged in:
[bernd@arresum]/home/user/bernd> w
8:44AM up 5 mins, 4 users, load averages: 0.39, 0.36, 0.18
USER TTY FROM LOGIN@ IDLE WHAT
bernd E0 - 8:41AM 0 w
bernd E1 - 8:44AM 0 -tcsh
Then after I loged out:
[bernd@arresum]/home/user/bernd> w
8:45AM up 5 mins, 3 users, load averages: 0.42, 0.36, 0.18
USER TTY FROM LOGIN@ IDLE WHAT
bernd E0 - 8:41AM 0 w
root E1 - 8:44AM 0 /usr/libexec/getty Pc ttyE1
Why is there now a root entry?
>How-To-Repeat:
Log in on ttyE1 and then log out again.
