	UNINETT AS
>Environment:
System: NetBSD oliven.uninett.no 1.6_BETA4 NetBSD 1.6_BETA4 (GENERIC) #3: Tue Jul 2 15:38:27 CEST 2002 anders@oliven.uninett.no:/usr/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/GENERIC i386
Architecture: i386
Machine: i386
>Description:
The clockctl pseudo-device, which is apparently required to
run ntpd in a chrooted environment is not included in the
GENERIC kernel configuration file on the i386 port, and
apparently not in any other kernels.

If I have understood correctly, this means that it will not be
possible to run ntpd chrooted in an "out-of-the-box install".

>How-To-Repeat:
Try to enable ntpd_chroot; watch it fail.

>Fix:
Add clockctl pseudo-device to kernel configurations, or
otherwise make it possible to run ntpd chrooted.
