System: NetBSD klei.intern.polderland.nl 1.4.2 NetBSD 1.4.2 (KIELDRECHT) #15: Wed Jul 11 18:02:11 CEST 2001 root@klei.intern.polderland.nl:/usr/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/KIELDRECHT i386

>Description:
	The Makefile for editors/xemacs-packages contains this:

MASTER_SITES=   ftp://ftp.xemacs.org/pub/xemacs/packages/ \
                ftp://ftp.mpi-sb.mpg.de/pub/gnu/mirror/ftp.xemacs.org/xemacs/packages/ \
                ftp://ftp.usyd.edu.au/pub/Xemacs/packages/ \
                ftp://ftp.lab.kdd.co.jp/xemacs/packages/ \
                ftp://ftp.th-darmstadt.de/pub/editors/xemacs/packages/ \
                ${MASTER_SITE_BACKUP}/${DIST_SUBDIR}

	In mk.conf, MASTER_SITE_BACKUP can be defined like this:

MASTER_SITE_BACKUP=    \
       ftp://ftp.ring.gr.jp/pub/NetBSD/packages/distfiles/ \
       ftp://ftp.jp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/packages/distfiles/

	Also for .au there are 2 ftp servers in this path.

	The combination with a DIST_SUBDIR does not work.
>How-To-Repeat:
	make xemacs, note strange places where the outdated file
	xemacs-base-1.57-pkg.tar.gz is looked for.
>Fix:
	None known, other than Don't Do That Then.
