At this point in the install process:
   This disk matches the following BIOS disk:

My three wd hard drives were listed.  The display seemed weird, with the third drive being off to the left on the last line of the display, something like this:
                       wd1  [whatever the text was]
   wd2 [whatever the text was]

I used wd0 as the drive to install to and selected "a: This is the correct geometry."

Now, for the major problem... when the installer went to the next step:
   We are now going to install NetBSD on the disk wd0...
the screen didn't clear out the wd2 line.  Ghosts of the contents stayed there through several of the next installation steps.
