System: NetBSD ssparc.reed.wattle.id.au 1.5Y NetBSD 1.5Y (SSPARC.d) #7: Sun Nov 11 00:10:07 EST 2001 darrenr@ssparc.reed.wattle.id.au:/root/SSPARC.d sparc
Architecture: sparc
Machine: sparc
>Description:
On a multiple interface host, "ping6 ff01::2" fails. It requires a default
interface to be selected even if only one is up.
>How-To-Repeat:
Use ping6 on a host with > 1 network interface
>Fix:
Ideally the default interface to use should be the one which is associated
with the IP address that is returned when looking up the hostname.
