On the 3.2G Quantum is where I installed the root, /var, /tmp, /usr and /home
partitions. Most frequently /var and /usr get corrupted, although every now
and
then the /bin (on the root partition, I'd reckon) directory loses files.

Depending on where I transfer files to, corruption (although less severe,
since only the last accessed files get messed up whereas on the Quantum
drive files sometimes 'randomly' get wiped away) also occurs on the WD and
IBM drive. Interesting detail to note is that on the Quantum partitions also
files which I never purposely accessed (/bin/rcp or vague package source
files which I neither updated or worked with) get in trouble when their inodes
suddenly get allocated partially.

I included the dmesg text as you asked. It's in the attachment. Hope it helps
a bit in finding a cause. Also, I included the disklabels; perhaps it makes
my setup a slight bit clearer.
