System: NetBSD fin-rot.reefedge.com 1.5 NetBSD 1.5 (GENERIC) #1: Sun Nov 19 21:42:11 MET 2000 fvdl@sushi:/work/trees/netbsd-1-5/sys/arch/i386/compile/GENERIC i386

>Description:

If the 'a' partition does not appear at offset 0 from the start
of the NetBSD portion of the disk, the first-level boot sector may be
written to the incorrect location, causing "No operating system" (non-bootsel
code) or "3" (bootsel code) to be displayed after rebooting.

A workaround is to make sure 'a' appears at offset 0.
>How-To-Repeat:
Do a fresh install with (e.g.) the 'b' partition at offset 0.
