sorry, cannot try the top(1) patch right now, since the machine in
question just crashed with a softdep panic; unfortunately the kernel
was a bit confused at that state and I could get neither a backtrace
with the debugger nor write a crash-dump file via "sync" (probably the
disk subsystem was pretty corrupted at that stage, I'll see if I can
trigger the bug again and file a pr then.)
