With a new Advansys 3940UW scsi card (and a new scsi drive)
installed I set out to install 1.5. All went well until, after a few moments
into ftp'ing the first distribution set, the following error message
repeated seemingly without end until I killed the install process:

DMA Error: reseting bus

This is an AMD K-6 233 mhz on an oldish Asus SP-97V mb. Here is dmesg:
