I installed base, etc and kern, built devices with installer.
Boot goes through the devices from mainbus0 (root) down through
Pram comments and identies root file system: type ffs
Next line: panic; cnopen: cn_tab->cn_dev==NODEV
Then dumps into debugger with words; stopped init.....

Load base, etc, and kern (or kern sbc) and try to do a single user boot.
