>Description:

When I have a rw mounted lfs partition, my disk spins up at regular
intervals, about every fifteen to thirty seconds. Using ufs or mounting the
partion ro allows the disk to stay spun down.

>How-To-Repeat:
mount an lfs partion rw, spin down the disk with atactl wdx setstandby 5
the disk will be spun back up with distressing frequency, then allowed to spin
back down almost immediately.
