System: NetBSD bolt.rc.vix.com 1.4ZD NetBSD 1.4ZD (POOFBALL) #0: Tue Jun 13 17:29:37 PDT 2000 explorer@poofball.flame.org:/u2/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/POOFBALL i386

>Description:
In 1.4.x, adding a lo0 alias using
	ifconfig lo0 204.152.187.114 netmask 0xffffffff alias
would add another address to a machine, using the loopback interface.
From the outside, this alias is pingable from fxp0, which has address
204.152.187.1/24.

Now, in 1.4ZD through 1.5_ALPHA (perhaps earlier) the machine will not
respond to ARP requests for lo0 aliases.
>How-To-Repeat:
Add an alias to lo0 and watch it not work.
>Fix:
None.
