>Description:
The new SMC Etherpower II in my system works fine as long only NetBSD
is used:

epic0 at pci0 dev 11 function 0: SMC 83c170 Fast Ethernet, rev. 8
epic0: interrupting at irq 10
epic0: SMC9432TX_2, Ethernet address 00:e0:29:6c:54:b5
ukphy0 at epic0 phy 3: Generic IEEE 802.3u media interface
epic0: lost carrier
epic0: lost carrier

After I booted Windows 98 SE once - it uses the latest driver from the
SMC web server - NetBSD can't use the card any more:

epic0 at pci0 dev 11 function 0: unable to map device registers

The only way to "revive" the card is turn the system physically off.
Neither a soft nor a hard reset is enough.

>How-To-Repeat:
Use an SMC Etherpower II in a dual boot system.

>Fix:
Sorry, I don't now.
