	While trying to fix another application that depended on readline, I decided to upgrade readline to 4.1 to see if it helped any.  It didn't help that problem.  Nevertheless the work is done :-)

	I reapplied the patches from 4.0 - they matched up quite well. It compiles without problems on i386 1.4.2A

	I haven't done much with readline - someone else may want to test it before commiting it.
