>Description:
I have ported pppd version 2.3.10 to NetBSD 1.4.2. I have placed a patch file (only 6K) at the following site:

     ftp://home.sprynet.com/users/minaret/ppp.diff

Be careful! The patch includes a new directory which the patch command will not create. You must create the following directory before applying the patch:

     ppp-2.3.10/netbsd-1.4

When you run patch, your current directory should be the parent of ppp-2.3.10 (i.e. /usr/local/src).

If you want the new ppp source tree instead of this patch, you can pick it up here:

    http://home.sprynet.com/~minaret/pppoe/src/ppp-2.3.10.tar.gz

Please note that the kernel portion of ppp should not be installed, just the user-space programs (pppd, chat, pppstats). See the README.netbsd file in the ppp-2.3.10 directory for more information.
