I have a working 802.11 network with this /etc/ifconfig.ray0 file:

# nwid XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

-->8--

As soon as I un-comment the nwid line (and make the same change on the windows
system) and reboot both machine, they won't see each other.

Commenting out the line again, changing back the windows machine and rebooting
one more time makes it work again.

This may actually be a bug in the Windows driver, but I suppose we'll have 
to be bug-compatible in that case.
