i386 based PC
>Description:
I'm trying to install the i386 release 1.4.2_ALPHA on a pc.
The installation script sysinst seems to build the filesystem ok,
however, at the beginning of the installation of the distribution sets
the screen says:
Command: pax -zrvpe -f /mnt2//binary/sets/kern.tgz
gzip: stdin: not in gzip format
pax: End of Archive volume 1 reached
ATTENTION! pax archive volume change required
Ready for Archive volume: 1
Input Archive name or "." to quit pax
Archive name >
In any case, I've ftp'ed the software from your site twice and both
times it's failed.
I noticed the pathname /mnt2//binary/sets/kern.tgz had a double slash so
I tried causing
a single slash to be used. I did this by not entering a qualified
pathname to the sets such as:
binary/sets when the sysinst script asked me to locate the distribution
sets.
