	named spews a lot of statistics to syslog by default; when
	running named in caching-only mode on a laptop, this results
	in lots of spurious disk spinups.
>How-To-Repeat:
	start named.  look in /var/log/messages after a few hours.

	change default behavior to not log statistics and the 
	periodic maintainance syslogs:
