Appears to have been lost how?  not showing up on the web server?

8218 is marked confidential, as is this PR.  (why a confidential PR is
sent to the mailing list is... uh, beyond me... 8-)

It would be interesting to know what you did/how you submitted this PR
such that gnats decided to do that.

I note that at the end of the PR, there are the bits:

which could be the answers to the questions.  It doesn't look like
you're filling the form out correctly...
