Default since I haven't changed it. I didn't even know that something
like that exist.

On i386, yes. On ARM32 something different.
But why does it happen with rlogin in only (even via loopback interface)
and not with secure shell or telnet or "direct" login?

It's highly reproducable, I get it on arm32-current, i386-1.4, and 1.4-current
on four different machines, via loopback, 10BaseT or 100BaseTX.
I bet you get the same on your system...
