System: NetBSD lyssa.zhadum.de 1.4K NetBSD 1.4K (LYSSA) #0: Mon Aug 23 12:07:44 CEST 1999 tron@lyssa.zhadum.de:/src/sys/compile/LYSSA i386

>Description:
If the "xemacs" package is is configured for "Xaw" on a system where the
"Xaw3d" package is installed it uses "Xaw3d" without properly registering
the dependences:

===>  Extracting for xemacs-21.1.6
===>  xemacs-21.1.6 depends on installed package: gdbm-1.7.3 - gdbm-1.7.3  found

===>  xemacs-21.1.6 depends on installed package: xpm-3.4k - xpm-3.4k  found
===>  xemacs-21.1.6 depends on installed package: faces-1.6.1 - faces-1.6.1  found
===>  Patching for xemacs-21.1.6

===>  Configuring for xemacs-21.1.6

  Using Lucid menubars.
  Using Lucid scrollbars.
  Using Athena-3d dialog boxes.
[...]

>How-To-Repeat:
1.) Install "Xaw3d" package.
2.) cd pkgsrc/editor/xemacs && make XAW_TYPE=standard configure

>Fix:
Either deal with "CONFIGURE_ARGS" or drop support for original "Xaw"
completely because not all "Xaw3d" application will work with "Xaw"
anyway. The later sollution makes the "USE_XAW" variable useless of
course, a simple wildcard dependence will do.
