System: NetBSD me 1.4C NetBSD 1.4C (ME) #1: Thu May 27 07:44:14 EDT 1999 root@me:/usr/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/ME i386

>Description:
The FreeBSD 4 thread emulation can hang or panic ("locking against
myself") 1.4C. It worked in 1.4.

>How-To-Repeat:
Run the rc5des-freebsd4-elf-mt client with the script included in the
rc5des package. The process hangs with a wchan thrd_s and status D. Then
run the client with an illegal option. This displays the usage then
produces a "locking against myself" panic. Examination of the core shows
that the process died with wchan - status SE+.

To hang the system, run the client with no options (with no hung
clients). This displays the configuration screen then hangs the system
(can't even break into the debugger).
