System: NetBSD chest.plethora.net 1.3K NetBSD 1.3K (CHEST) #0: Wed Mar 17 08:02:32 CST 1999 seebs@chest.plethora.net:/usr/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/CHEST i386

>Description:
(I may simply be wrong; my install partially failed, so I just
	untarred everything.)

When I did my install, I found a *nearly* fully populated '/dev' on
	my new root partition.

Fully populated, that is, except for /dev/ttyE0, which wscons needed,
and where getty wanted to run my console login. Thus, no logins.

>How-To-Repeat:
Install on port-i386 by untarring everything. May also happen
normally; I'm assuming device nodes were mostly made, since all
	the others were fine.
