	the NetBSD NFS server does not let a non-root user mkfifo.  it does
	not matter who the client is, although NetBSD and SunOS (4 & 5) give
	different error messages.

>How-To-Repeat:

	as non-root, try this on a FS mounted "normally" (ie, no `nodev' even)
	from a NetBSD nfs server:

	NetBSD > mkfifo foo
	mkfifo: foo: Input/output error

	Solaris > mkfifo foo
	mkfifo: Not owner
