catergory: math
The package source may be downloaded from

Scilab is a scientific software package for numerical computations with many, many powerful
features. It includes control system and signal processing libraries among others.
Extensive, high quality, X11 plotting capabilites are built in. In addition to writing
programs in the scilab language, users can dynamically link C and Fortran routines.
Scilab is very similar to Matlab (a commercial product). Many matlab programs will run
with only minor modification. Scilab-2.4 includes a matlab to scilab conversion utility.
