	ad1848 gets timeouts/busy-waits on Intel AL440LX motherboard.
	That motherboard uses the yamaha sound chip and the ad1848.

	When starting up mpg123 the whole machine freezes up for ~15
	seconds as the machine takes a dozen or so timeouts.

>How-To-Repeat:
	mpg123 filename.mp3 <cr>
	
	Turning on the ad1848 debug statements shows one the string of 
	timeouts.

	unknown.  shorten the timeout??? ;-)
