>Environment:

System: NetBSD capsicum.wsrcc.com 1.3_ALPHA NetBSD 1.3_ALPHA (WSRCC) #0: Tue Nov 11 11:24:41 PST 1997 root@capsicum.wsrcc.com:/v/src/netbsd/current/sys/arch/i386/compile/WSRCC i386

>Description:
The GENERIC kernel contains the STRIP network interfaces st0 and st1.
These interfaces don't like to be man-handled by dhclient and will
lock the machine up solidly if dhclient touches them.

>How-To-Repeat:
remove the the STRIP (st0, st1) pcmcia cards if present.

type: sync; sync; sync; dhclient <cr>

>Fix:
	1) rebuild the kernel without st0 or st1 (option strip)
    or
	2) put hooks into /etc/dhclient-script to never ever touch
	    interfaces st[0-9]*

	3) fix the STRIP interfaces.
