*sigh* I did not see the cvs log for that. I checked on a 1.2G system
not too old (but before the latest current) and a 1.2 release and it
was not there. I also think that we talked at IETF in Munich that this
is not done yet. 

Any chance that route and ifconfig will understand cidr soon?
