NetBSD-1.0 had problems with ADB (the keyboard interface, among other 
things).  There were a couple of workarounds to the problem, but the real 
fix is to use a more current snapshot.

Installer problems can be helped by doing a "Get Info" on the installer 
program and setting the memory size up to 2000 or more.

It's probably not worth going out and getting a 1.1_ALPHA snapshot at 
this point; the 1.1 release is nearly upon us.  I'd advise waiting for 
that to come out.
