Dear sirs/madams:
Installation of the Amiga release 1.0 of NetBSD seems to be incompatible
with the new GURU ROM upgrade to GVP scsi controllers.
  My System:
A2000 w/ GVP '03 rev.4 Combo w/ 16 megs 32-bit RAM
Amiga OS 3.1
2 Megs chip RAM
0 Megs 16-bit RAM
6 scsi devices (address: 0,1,2,3,4,6)
address 1 is configured for NetBSD (Quantum 360 Meg Lighting)

I copied NetBSD, loadbsd, and all binaries to a directory on an AmigaDOS
drive. I cd to this directory. Upon running loadbsd the following
information appears (after removing devices 0, and 2 from the chain):
.
fdc0 at mainbus0: dmabuf pa 0x1e3030
fd0 at fdc0: 3.5dd 80 cyl, 2 head, 11 sec, 11 sec [9 sec], 512 bytes/sec
idesc0 at mainbus0 A1200 @ 2e20000:2e29000ztwobus0 at mainbus0
gvpbus0 at ztwobus0 rom 0xe90000 man/pro 2017/11
gtsc0 at gvebus0: dmamask 0x1ffffff maxdma 65536
scsibus0 at gtsc0
gtsc0 targ 0 lun 0: <QUANTUM P105S 910-10-94xA.3 > SCSI1direct fixed
sd0 at scsibus0: 100MB, 1019cyl, 6 head, 33 sec, 512 bytes/sec
.
note:
   dh0(fd0) is actually a high-density floppy
IF I enable scsi devices @ addresses 0, and 2 loadbsd stops at the
third line from the bottom (scsibus0 at gtsc0)
.
Prior to installing the GURU ROM I did get the installation to go as far
as creating the initial directories on the root partition. However,
installation failed when the parent directories were written as
'read-only' and the installation process attempted to create
subdirectories within the main directories.
.
I'm so much looking forward to getting this up and running. If I've done
something obviously wrong please let me know. If this information helps I
will glad to be of any further assistance. Thank you for your support!
.
